Appearance
Light yellow to tan with dark reddish brown showing through.  Once the wood has matured it becomes an overall dark honey color.  This wood somewhat resembles Burmese Teak.

Prefinished and unfinished 3" x 1/2" solid hardwood flooring.
No stains used.

12" to 84"

Color change over time
Fresh heartwood is reddish brown or purplish brown with light yellowish brown or purplish streaks; upon exposure to light it gradually becomes uniform light brown or honey brown.

Finishing
The unfinished flooring takes a stain and finish well.  This wood has an unpleasant smell while it is being sanded in preparation for finishing.  The prefinished flooring has several coats of UV cured urethane with aluminum oxide.
