Mochawood / Mocha

Mochawood / Mocha        Pronounced:  mO-ka-wood (the O as in oh)

(Balfourodendron riedelianum)

Appearance
A light brown wood with subtle natural patterns in the grain produced by the growth rings.  The grain is fine and smooth.

Other common names:
South American Oak, Cabreuva Dorada.

Specifications:
Pre-finished, 3 1/4" x 3/4" solid hardwood flooring.
No stains used.
This flooring is not available in an unfinished product at present.

Lengths:
An average length of 35" is common with lengths ranging form 9" to 84".

Color change over time
Exposure to light does not change the color of this flooring much, though it does become just slightly darker over the years.

Finish
We presently only have Mochawood in a pre-finished product.
